Videos of patients
Videos that promote the benefits of PKB are a great way to raise awareness, increase uptake and generate advocacy. Capturing real-life stories from patients and the healthcare professionals using PKB, talking about how it has made a difference for them, is more powerful and engaging than any other form of communication, and it also has the potential to reach a wider audience.
Creating short videos, no-more than a few minutes long, is best as they can easily be shared online (on your website and via social media) and the likelihood of them being watched in full is much greater. It doesn't need to be expensive either, these types of videos can be made using a smart phone or tablet, with a good quality camera attached.
Below are some example patient and professional videos which demonstrate the impact of real life stories.
If you would like any support to capture your stories, please speak to your Success Team lead who may be able to help.
Video for patient waiting room
Below is a video produced by The Tygerberg Hospital in South Africa who are using PKB to support women with breast cancer. They have developed this video to play in their waiting room to introduce PKB to their patients.
You can use videos in your waiting rooms. The video below is available for download, it can be played as a loop on repeat for your patients to understand your PKB roll-out plans. It also works without sound if required.
